Kira Crugnale (b. 1989) is a Canadian-born photographer based in Chicago. Graduating with a BFA in Photography from the Toronto Metropolitan University School of Image Arts (2011), her work is defined by bold, intimate compositions that embrace imperfection and authenticity.
Drawing on the interplay between materiality and memory, her practice is concerned with recognizing the intimate identities of objects and spaces. Shooting in both analog and digital formats, her photographs are characterized by their bold use of light and attention to detail.
